Event Details

CIPS Toronto is pleased to bring you speakers from the Toronto Business Development Centre (TBDC) to introduce you to their Business Incubation service. Join us at the Ground Hog Pub and discover what Business Incubation is and how you can use TBDC services to start your own business.

 

TBDC is part of TEDCO – Toronto Economic Development Corporation.

 

Ted Barton

Incubation Manager, Toronto Business Development Centre

 

Ted has been Manager of the TBDC’s Toronto West location for the past 3 years and currently manages all Incubation activity for both TBDC’s locations.

 

Before joining TBDC Ted worked 10 years for SEDI as their Toronto Coordinator of the federally funded Self Employment Benefits (SEB) Program.

 

Ted began his career with a major Canadian Department store chain and held key management positions over more than twenty years.

Business Development Manager, Toronto Business Development Centre

 

Michael Donahue is Business Development Manager at the Toronto Business Development Centre (TBDC). For over ten years at TBDC, Michael’s career has focused on supporting the success of new and early-stage businesses.  In addition, he has promoted entrepreneurship while a lecturer with the School of Business at Centennial College in Toronto and is frequently called upon to speak about the field of business incubation.

 

Michael is a graduate of the University of Toronto and currently serves as a member of the board of the Canadian Association of Business Incubation.
